Chetana (she/her) works as a Project Manager and Research Coordinator on project Outlive at Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy, ILS (CMHLP). She has completed her M.A in Social Work (Mental Health) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and is a certified Arts Based Therapy practitioner.
At Outlive, she oversees and supports implementation of the peer support program and the Youth Advocacy for Suicide Prevention (YASP) fellowship.
Prior to joining CMHLP, she has worked with vulnerable communities including youth at risk, children and women from marginalised sections, and in research-related roles. She has also led training, facilitation and capacity-building for student groups, mental health professionals as well as government stakeholders on crisis-response, mental health and suicide prevention.
She is passionate about improving availability and access to mental health services, community mental health, and in using expressive art modalities to facilitate healing, transformation and
empowerment.
